Mini-Sessions at The Wicked Tulips Flower Farm • Piper Brown Photography

This week, Tulip season in RI comes to a close as the Wicked Tulips Flower Farm winds down. As always, I’m a little depressed by this inescapable eventuality, however this year, I’m especially upset because it doesn’t feel like spring! Who here is fighting the urge to turn the heat back on simply because that’s just not happening in the month of May? THIS GIRL! That’s who. Dear reader, tell me I’m not alone in this! That being said, in spite of what is now the cold, damp and eternal gray of spring, I was able to make some colorful images of beautiful pictures with my clients at the farm. Check out these glorious images:

Looking back over my images, I wish the weather had lent itself to more opportunities.  This spring I’ve discovered that as a wedding photographer, I don’t exactly hate making pictures of families. At least in small doses. My sessions at the farm this year gave me several ideas for blocks of mini-sessions over the course of the year.  I can’t wait to implement them. My first opportunity for this will be this summer. In July for the 3rd year in a row, I along with a number of other photographers will be photographing first responders and their families at the Goddard State Park. Stay tuned for more information about this event. I’m also going to be offering beach sessions as well. I can’t wait!

Here’s hoping the sun comes out again soon! Happy spring my dear readers! Happy spring 💐
