The Carousel at Easton Beach | Newport, Rhode Island
Shirley and Nathan were wed in August, 2018 on the shores of Easton Beach. Thanks the the salty ocean breezes, it didn’t feel like mid-August, which it TOTALLY was! My car was HOT HOT HOT that day. Shirley told me when we first met, that she and Nathan were old souls that found each other late in life. THey’d both been married before and while they were looking for something unique with each other, they weren’t exactly keen on jumping back into the matrimonial fray as it were.
So they came up with a plan - if they could stay together for 10 years without killing each other, then they’d get married. And that’s exactly what they did. They lived with Nathan’s two children and some furry babies and lived happily ever after. Until the ten year mark of their relationship came knocking. Then they had to decide. To wed or not to wed?
Luckily for me (and them I guess 😜), they said “yes!” to getting married
Their wedding theme was a mixture of Rock’N' Roll and Ocean Vibes. I was particularly infatuated with Shirley’s bouquet. It was GORGEOUS!
They were married by Reverend Ernest Dispirito from DJ Buddy D Sound Unlimited. He performed a great ceremony AND kept the party jumping later on as their DJ. The man has skillz y’all!
I’m glad I was a part of their day. I believe that each of my clients enrich me in some way, whether I realize it or not and as I reflect back on this couple, I realize that I had a chance to witness the union of two souls that found each other at last, in spite of life’s meandering path. It was special.
