Crowne Plaza Hotel Wedding | Warwick, RI

The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, RI, is one of my favorite venues to photograph weddings in. I have photographed weddings at this venue at least once a year since 2016. This venue has all of the three things that I look for in a perfect wedding venue:

  • Clean Elegant + Modern Decor

  • Helpful wedding coordinator + Staff

  • Gorgeous Photography Backdrops

Clean Elegant + Modern Decor

It doesn’t matter what part of the day I am photographing; the Crowne Plaza is a delight to work in for the entire day. For the getting ready portion of the day, it’s a delight to photograph the couple in the hotel rooms because they are amply sized and very well lit. I am yet to photograph in a space that is cramped or poorly lit. This is especially advantageous because there are often several people in the room with you when you’re getting ready - you, members of your wedding party, your parents, other vendors and then of course - me!

Helpful Wedding Coordinator + Staff

For Jillian and Robert’s wedding, Jillian got ready at the Crowne Plaza Hotel while Robert got ready at their home. The couple chose to have their wedding ceremony at their local parish and have their formal pictures made at Roger Williams Park in Providence, RI, before returning to the hotel for their reception. Jillian and Robert relied heavily on Nicole - their assigned coordinator and her team to ensure that everything was set up and running smoothly while away from the hotel. Vendors were directed to the appropriate areas. Guests were greeted with a spectacular cocktail hour. Most importantly, the reception room was kept pristine for the couple to see when they arrived. This always makes my heart happy as their photographer because I take pictures of all the table details before the guests move things around.

Gorgeous Photography Backdrops

Since all their photographs were taken at Roger Williams, Jillian and Robert did not take advantage of the hotel's spots. The Brick Courtyard is my favorite because it allows me to incorporate textural elements into the pictures. Depending on the weather and time of day, I am lucky enough to get a killer backdrop. Another couple of mine had the opportunity to make some portraits in the courtyard - Check them out here.

If you’re planning to have your wedding at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and you’re still in the hunt for a wedding photographer, shoot me an email. I’d love to chat!
