Summer Backyard Wedding | Narragansett, RI

As the country slowly and steadily began to reopen from our enforced shutdown, I can’t tell you how excited I was to photograph Jackie and Jared’s wedding in Narragansett, RI. It was so very awesome to be shooting a wedding again. The last wedding I photographed occurred right before the shut down way back in March. Since then, we’ve all been waiting for the world to reset itself so we could get back to enjoying the company of one another.

Jackie and Jared were married in front of their family and friends in Providence, RI. Their wedding, rescheduled from May, was a mini-sized version of the celebration they had in mind, however, it was perfect-sized for the party they had in mind for their family and closest friends - The Elite Group as they jokingly called them. Jackie and Jared held their ceremony at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Providence, RI. Fun fact, I lived just up the road from St. Augustine when I was in college. As a lonely college kid far far away from home, I used to attend their Christmas midnight mass. It was very nostalgic for me to walk through those doors. The ceremony was limited to just about 30 people, and everyone except for Jackie and Jared wore masks.

After the ceremony, we dashed back to Narragansett for the reception. Jackie and Jared rented a home in the heart of Narragansett, RI, just a stone’s throw away from the Narragansett beaches. The house on the property was large enough to house their family, and the yard was the perfect size for a large white tent to house the party.

This summer wedding was an excellent way to get back to photographing weddings. I was so excited just to be celebrating love with people in love.
