Julia and Robert met through friends, and the rest was history. They dated for 3 years and decided to make it official in 2019. Their initial wedding celebration was a casualty of the 2020 pandemic. Like many couples, they moved their main celebration to 2021. They held a micro-wedding ceremony on Julia's parents' patio on their official wedding date.

I photographed their 2021 wedding celebration. I started off my day with Julia. She got ready at her parents' home in Smithfield, while Robert got ready at their home just down the road. Getting ready in a place where you're comfortable makes for extraordinary images. I love that Julia wanted to be around her parents and family in her childhood home. She was so relaxed, and the environment was incredibly chill.

They had a first look in Julia's parents' backyard. Are you considering a first look? Do you know what a first look actually is? Don't worry; I have you covered here. You would think that Robert, having been married to his wife and living with her for 4 months, would not have been surprised when he turned around to see Julia; however, the way his face lit up showed that he was still not prepared for Julia's gorgeous appearance.

The Roger Williams Botanical Center is in the heart of the park. Opened in 2007, the center is a truly unique wedding venue for couples to use. If you love plants and are looking for a venue that celebrates that, you definitely want to consider the botanical center. The wedding ceremony was held in the main greenhouse of the facility. There are two sections to the venue, which provide ample space for guests to roam and celebrate. The lush greenery served as the perfect backdrop to the simple elegance of the couple's wedding details. The floral details were white and gold, and the wedding party was dressed in red and blue. All the colors were in stark contrast to the deep green background, which made for some incredible photos.

My vendor shout-out for this wedding is Pranzi Events, one of Rhode Island's premier catering services. Pranzi provided bar services, wedding cake, and food services for the wedding. I've worked weddings with this vendor before, and I have to say, their service is top-notch!
