Amanda + AJ - A winter engagement session in Providence | Providence Photographer

I recently had the pleasure of working with Amanda and AJ, who won a free engagement session from Piper Brown Photography when they entered at the Jenks Wedding Expo in Worcester, MA, last month. We had a fantastic day walking around Providence, Rhode Island, while they shared their love story with me. Despite their professed awkwardness, Amanda and AJ spent almost the entire time laughing with me. It was such a joy to be part of this adventure! So let's dive into it...

We started the session enjoying the unseasonably but very welcome mild weather at the Providence Pedestrian Bridge. This bridge is perfect for couples because you can get gorgeous city views and beautiful greenery along the riverbank. I always recommend taking advantage of these locations because it gives you a chance to see your city in a new light! After taking some pictures there, we moved on to Roger Williams Memorial Park for more romantic shots. The park has plenty of spots that are great for photos, and I captured some really special moments between Amanda and AJ as they laughed together in front of the camera. They were so natural that it was hard not to capture them being silly together!

Afterward, after the "hard work" of picture-making, I sent the two off for a sweet reward at my favorite local patisserie - Pastiche on Federal Hill. The cafe has an amazing selection of desserts and drinks, so it's easy to recommend because everyone will find something to enjoy. An hour later, they returned to my studio and reviewed their gallery. Again, we had fun reviewing images and talking about their wedding plans. It was clear that they were both looking forward to finally tying the knot, and I'm sure their wedding would be just as beautiful as their engagement session!

Spending a day with Amanda and AJ was truly one of the highlights of my year! It's always such an honor when couples trust me enough to document this incredibly special season in their lives. Even though we only had a few hours together, I know those memories will last forever. It's officially official – Amanda & AJ are getting married soon! Congratulations, you two – wishing you all the best!! 🎉💕
